A message from the PS 51 PTA:
 

One of our schools, PS 51 located at 525 w 44th St, is in need of support. They currently have 89 students in temporary shelters which is a quarter of their entire school population. The Principal, teachers, and parents have gone above and beyond to ensure that students feel welcome and that they are valued members of the community. This school community is a shining example of the promise of public schools to educate all children regardless of their background. 

 

PS 51 needs help restocking their food pantry and supply closet that contains toiletries and other essentials. Leila Colbert, the PTA Co-President, has put together the attached flyer with a link to an Amazon wishlist. All purchase will be shipped directly to the school. There is also a link to the PS 51 website where donations can be made. Even a donation of $5 makes a difference!
