Superintendent's Message Dear District 2 Community, It is an honor to serve as the Community School District Superintendent for District 2 in our New York City Public Schools. We strive for “Excellence in our classrooms, every day” and there are many ways in which we make this happen for our students in our District 2 schools. Alongside award-winning educators and our incredible parents and families, learners gain the skills they need to engage with rich, high-quality texts that inform class discussions, writing projects, and field trips around our beautiful city. In District 2 schools children grow into mathematicians and scientists who apply what they have learned in real-life challenges and problem solving. We know arts and community building are key to a student’s growth and we prioritize these learning experiences in all of our schools.
