Committee Meeting: February 29, 2024 The Social Emotional Learning and School Climate Committee held a meeting on February 29, 2024. The meeting was a presentation by members of the NYCDOE’s Office of Safety and Youth Development, LGBTQ+ Programs. The presentation covered NYCPS policies and city, state and federal policies that protect and affirm LGBTQ+ students, including the what/how/why of LGBTQ+ inclusive curriculum in the classroom and how to respond to push-back.
